WHO ARE WE?

KidsTour was born with the idea of doing family tourism in the most important cities of Europe, but completely focused on children and adolescents, mainly students of a foreign language, to be able to practice it and discover new vocabulary focused on history and geography, which it is necessary to use when we travel to other countries.

Through fun activities and applied methodologies such as rallies, game cards, memory cards, notebooks to take notes, audio recordings, mobile apps, awards, and others, ALL CREATED BY EDUCATION SPECIALISTS, children and young people discover the city while practicing the foreign language according to the level of learning they have in it. And of course, the parents who accompany the children also have fun with the activities, discover the curious facts of the city and, most importantly, enjoy watching their children learn and have fun at the same time.

Our methodology is based on the theory that learning a foreign language and, above all, its practice, are much more effective when you “live” the experience than when you study. It’s not the same to learn vocabulary when you’re seeing things, listening to a story about it, touching on what’s needed to capture the essence of that vocabulary; in short, kids LIVE the language experience at the same time that they know the city and learn from it, by the hand of our tourism experts.

Practicing a foreign language, getting to know a bit of a city’s history and doing a family activity together, has never been more fun! Book a tour with us and discover it yourself with your family!

WHAT AND HOW DO WE DO IT?

The recreational activities we do during the tour involve the visual, auditory and physical skills of children and adolescents, as well as the help of their parents or the adults who accompany them. These help us to give our meeting a completely familiar experience and not just focus on the historical or linguistic part. They also encourage a lot of teamwork, either directly with their families or with the other members of the tour as a way of socialization.

These activities have been designed by education specialists who know the best ways to involve the attention of children and adolescents for the learning of a language or any cultural topic and are adapted to their school level and age, to make them easy and entertaining enough not to lose their motivation, but also challenging enough to win their interest.

Among the many other activities we carry out during the visits, we have the following lists of leisure activities, as an example:

  • Games to form words and numbers with the vocabulary of the selected language to practice (French, English or Spanish).
  • Mathematical puzzles that encourage their mental prowess.
  • Assembling puzzles of the themes seen at the different stops of the tour that involves their attention ability to search and assemble the pieces.
  • Games with diverse materials that require patience, physical dexterity and creativity to achieve them.
  • Physical or virtual interviews with people who speak the selected language to practice it orally and also develop their potential for socialization.
  • Expression of feelings about the tour and learning through team dynamics.

With all this, what we seek is a complete development of the participant in a way that increases and enhances their culture, their data retention capacity, their socialization with peers and relatives, their listening and attention capacity, their physical and mental dexterity and, of course, their ability to enjoy the tour while achieving all of the above, spending a pleasant time with family.

At the end of the tour a total count is made of the points obtained according to each activity and an acknowledgment is given, no matter if there is someone with more or less points, to recognize their commitment and dedication during the journey.
